The method I use is highly effective in creating a wearable shoe and the activity is suitable for KS2 to KS4. All the students will learn the basic technique but along the way there is plenty of room for experimentation and self expression. This topic will include

o Research – social, historical, practical
o Design, worksheets are produced
o Experimentation with fabric, threads etc
o Use of colour – complementary, contrasting, creating a ‘look’
o Measuring and estimating
o Construction
o Decoration
o Evaluation

This is a very popular and fun workshop with an outcome that allows all to create their own design. This topic needs either a series of short workshops or at least two concentrated days. Please contact me for more details.
